Phillips Family Trip to the Red Rock Ranch - part 2

There are a lot of pictures to choose from and I am picking just the top pictures. I figured it would be easier to post this trip in to separate posts. Here is the rest of the weeks pictures.

The is the view from the owners home. Can you imagine living here and seeing this everyday? Amazing!

Wednesday we had a morning breakfast along the river. It was beautiful.

The is one of my favorite pictures of Crystal Creek.

Kate had a lot of fun play pool with Kennedy too!

Kyle or Little or Squints was known for a saddle dance, so finally we convinced him to show us. This is a picture of part of the dance and I have a video to follow.

Our 5 Year Anniversary at the Adirondacks

Eric and I spent our anniversary weekend at my Aunt's cabin in the Adirondacks. It was great to get away and it was fun to have projects to work on. We cleaned the steps and cleaned up the paths. It was so much fun. Here are the pictures of our work.

We cleaned the steps

We cut the grass with a swinging blade

We cleared the other path so we could use it.

Maine

Eric's parents spent two weeks in Maine. Eric and I went up the first weekend. It was a great get away. We fished and spent lots of time relaxing and playing games, like golf and Spite and Malice. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Group shot:

This is the fish Eric caught - haha

The next day I went fishing and caught a perch.

I love this shot of Dad.

Dad spent a lot of his time replacing lines because we lost too many lure in the trees and mud.

Summer, Kate, Frett Honored, and Kelli

Sorry everyone. I know summer is supposed to be the relaxing time, but I have found that we are even busier, taking weekend trips here and there and family vacations. It is awesome, but not very conducive to blogging. So I am going to make one big catch-up post and hit the high lights.

School's Out for the summer!!!

I am so excited. I was soooooo ready for summer. Ok, I have to admit. It has been amazing working with this group of kids and watching them grow from nervous, insecure 6th graders to excited, insecure 8th graders. It has been very educational and eye opening. I never thought I would work with middle schoolers or special Ed. God has a great sense of humor. And here I am three years later saying that I did learn a LOT and I had some fun too.

It has been bitter sweet - the end of the school year for many reasons. Mainly, I am not sure if I will have a job next year. They have been cutting tutor positions and I am sure they are hoping/expecting me to move before the school year begins so they don't have to let me go. We will see what happens come this August, but that is too depressing to talk about. I am going to make the most of my summer! IT IS SUMMER TIME, BABY!

Kate (my cousin) Graduates High School!

I did even have one day of summer and Eric and I were traveling to NJ. Kate Connelly, my cousin, was graduation high school. We drove down to the Fretts for the weekend, but spent Friday evening with my family, celebrating with Kate. Here are a few pictures from graduation.

Eric's Dad is honored on Father's Day!

Sunday was Father's Day. Every Father's Day, Eric's home town church honors one man. This year they selected Ted Frett, Eric's dad. I captured the entire speech on video. Dad was embarrassed, but it was very sweet. I have a great video, but it is too large to post.

Kelli Send Off

Kelli has the wonderful opportunity to go to Spain for 2 and a half weeks. She was flying out of JFK so Eric and I met Kelli, my mom and my dad in NYC for the day. It was great to spend time with Kelli and walk around the city. Here are some pictures from the day.
