Adirondacks

August 14th - 17th Eric and I took a long weekend and went to the Adirondacks. We spent time with my family including Tim, Laura's boyfriend, Caleb, Kelli's boyfriend at the time and my Aunt Liza. We spent lots of time around the fire, went water skiing, chased Nika, Laura's dog, and finished many projects. It was an extremely relaxing weekend.

Mom and Aunt Liza undertook a project of sanding and repainting the picnic table.  Right when they got it painted it started to rain so we have to makeshift a covering for it.  

It is never a problem in the Adirondacks.  Its always an adventure.

We stopped to watch a sea-plane take off and Nike climbed into Eric's lap, which was the front seat, to watch.  As she returned to her seat she thanked Eric by giving him a nice big kiss!

Kelli was debating on whether or not she should try to climb up the rock.  Thankfully Dad and I talked her out of it!  The water was moving way too fast!!!

There was another adventure (not problem) this weekend. Mom, Dad, Eric and Harley went out on the dock to look at all 9 of the loons that had gathered just off the dock. Instead they almost went for a swim. So we had to fix he dock.

Myrtle Beach

August 3rd - 10th Eric and I joined my parents and sisters on our family vacation to Myrtle Beach. It didn't start or end so well, but everything else was great. When we arrived we found out we missed a day. The reservation was from Sat. to Sat. (not Sun. to Sun. like we thought) At the end of the week, the door of the van broke, and dad had to figure out a way to get a new car before we had to leave. During the week we relaxed at the beach, flew kites, ate a lot, and even caught a show. It was a great family bonding week.
