A lot of Snow

Over the past month CT has received a lot of snow! When Eric and I first moved to CT we pictured getting a lot of snow, but since we are near the coast that has not happened. This is the first year, out of the past 4 years, we have gotten a lot of snow. We have already had 3 snow days!

PS - No cats were harmed during the bathing process.  A ski glove was wore for our safety during the few times they tried to bite us!

This year Eric and I got snowed in on New Year's Eve, so we celebrated by ourselves. It was a nice change. Here are a few pictures:

Christmas 2008

Christmas 2008 was wonderful.

CT had a huge snow storm so there was no school on Friday. Eric and I were able to make it out of the state early Friday morning before the 12 inches of snow arrived. We spent Friday through Wednesday morning with his family. It was a wonderful time to relax and spend time with his parents and Nana. We were also able to visit all of our DE friends. Monday, while Eric's mom was at work, we stopped by Tanya and Shaun's new home. Amy, Andres, Caleb, and Elise were able to stop by as well. Then Tuesday night we went to Bridget and Jake's Christmas Eve, Eve's party. There we were able to visit with John and Katie, Mike and Morgan, Eddie and Kaelyn, Chris Z and Amy, Andres and Family. not to mention Bridget and Jake of course. It was a wonderful 5 days of relaxing and visiting. One night with the Fretts we were able to go to Longwood Gardens, which is the most beautiful garden I have been to . There are lights all over the outdoors and the flowers inside are beautiful. Eric and I also went to the last day of school with Mrs. Frett. Eric installed a computer and I led 200-300 3rd and 4th graders in singing Christmas carols. It was so much fun.

It is so cute because she knows me and recognizes me. I LOVE IT!!! (Unfortunately for Eric she is going through a shy spell with men. - Poor Uncle Eric)


Evie loves presents with tissue paper.  Actually she loves tissue paper, so we gave her a dress with lots of tissue paper on top.  She had fun digging!


I think she liked the dress.  


Her dress came with a bow and it kept sliding down over her eyes.  


Se was happy she could see!

In college the boys liked to make a sad face the last second I took a picture, so for old times sake they did it again - Except Caleb - his smile was even bigger!



One Christmas Eve we exchanged presents with Eric's family and made our way to York to visit my family. We stayed with the Phillips from Christmas Eve to the Monday after. During our visit with my family we were able to celebrate Christmas, visit the extended Phillips family for an evening and have fun relaxing. Eric and I were so blessed to be able to visit family for so long. It made coming home a lot more difficult, but we had a wonderful time!
